MALAYSIA INTERNATIONAL TOYSFAIR 2010 24-25 July-Part 1

Fuhh...penatnyaaaa...last weekend was quite hectic for me because as a member of Macross Fans Of Malaysia (ahem!), we had to setup showcase booth in Midvalley Megamall.
Seronok dapat jumpa fans and friends, even old friends that we have never seen for a long time!

Of course, as it is the first time such an event was held here, there's a lot of room for improvement. But, with limited resources, uncooperative industry players and even the pulling out of the main sponsor at the last minutes, I consider it as a success. Kudos to the organiser! Our booth...datang2 tgk, sedih tol, right next to the toilet! Luckily it was well maintained.
Another local Toy Collector Forum, Transmy, with their ever present founder, Mike Monkticon, hard at work setting up their showcase.
I will continue later with more pics of the event....

YUHAAAA!!

Ngeh3! After listening to advices from my friends ( especially Roslim of Paintball Valley ), I decided not to lament on my misfortune.
Instead, treat it as 'get out of Jail free' card, taste new waters, smell new flowers, heheeheh...

So, first in my hitlist:
1.Rossa
2.Rozita Che Wan

Ahak, like my mom said, DREAM ON!

Sejukkkk....

Hari ni mendung nak hujan, so rasa sejuk giler kat opis, brrrr....now thinking what else to update here..

Well, to sum it up, now I have transferred to Jabatan Akauntan Negara Malaysia (since August 2009), and the relaxed nature of current job enables me to catch up with my life a bit..

I'm still sore with my divorce, but mostly because I misses my kids. I tend to feel depressed when I'm lonely, so to avoid that, I focused on my hobby, that is toy collecting...

Setahun sudah berlalu...

Heheheh...dah macam lagu Alleycat lak....
Hampir setahun lebih aku bercerai ( nyaris2 mereng jap ), apa lagi aku nak citer? Now aku just continue on living, hoping Allah will guide me all the way...

I get to see my kids, yeah, but with more restrain by my ex. I think enough is enough; no longer I should be the nice guy here, it's high time I show her that I have my own rights and pride too...

Woodsball!!

* Gambaq kami masa nak masuk Tmn Pertanian, cam nak pi bersantai jer......walhal...

Haihhhh...malas tol nak update blog ni, line cam haremmmm!

Anyways, on the 23rd June 2008, Me n my frens seramai 16 orang buat julung-julung kalinya pergi ke Delta Paintball Tmn Pertanian Shah Alam, dgn kapla otak kami ingat ni main cam biasa kami tengok kat tv, dua team kat padang dengan bunker tengah-tengah....

Datang pon dgn tee shirt dan track bottom jer.......how wrong are we......

Rupa-rupanya dah macam kem perang, sampai kami ingatkan mmg ada askar buat training kat situ. Bayangkan, semua orang lengkap battle gears cam askar betul, dgn marker masing2 yang dah custom macam senapang betul!!!!

* contoh marker yg dah dicustom:

Pastu main dalam hutan, siap ada storyline dan mission...bestttt!!!!

So...What is paintball?

Whoa...before I continue with my story, many would ask, what the heck is that?
Well, make things simple, basically it is a form of extreme sport that involves 2 more players, each equipped with a marker ( its the gun, but we don't call it that... ), a facemask, some pellets ( paint filled 'bullets' ) annndddd...that's it! ( oh...a vest if u need one...we machos never use them! Ouch! )

Currently in Malaysia, there are two types of paintball game that are popular:
1. Speedball

Normally played on a field, indoor or outdoor, with bunkers and two teams playing against each other. Could be capture the flag, Elimination, depending on the organiser. Below is the pic for the gears commonly used.

a. The facemasks

b. The markers set

c. The suit

d. The gloves

e. The boots

Well, nuff said.
Later, I will show u my current fav...Woodsball!!!

So....

I was thinking, what could I do to spice up my life a little bit?.....Hmmm, frequent night spots? Do drugs? Illegal racing? Subscribe to 'Lorong Haji Taib'?......Nah....

It was then, as fate wants it, I met my old friend, Roslim (See pic).

He is a pioneer in Malaysian paintball, but previously I was let down by my frens abysmal response and also lack of funds. Coz that time, speedball is THE GAME, and the cost is quite astronomical for those like...ahem...me.
But this year, he let me and my Kg Pisang frens ( a local collectors forum ) a tryout at his establishment in Tmn Pertanian Shah Alam. ( see http://www.new.facebook.com/group.php?gid=51307825112 )
to be continued.....
