My Top 10 Toy List For 2010

Well, already we are in the year 2011. 2010 has been quite a year for me, with some quite significant 'hauls'...heheeheh! After I visited a blog by a friend of mine,My World Of Madness, I thought well, I've got to do my own list. So, for my pleasure and for your valued viewing, I present you my TOP 10 toys for 2010!

# 10:

SHF Kabuto, the one that starts it all. Amazed by the level of detail and articulation on such a small figure ( almost 6" ), convinces me that the Kamen Rider Figuarts line is worth having for its play and display value. "Clock UP!"

# 9 :

1/60 Yamato VF-11B, one of the best mold in all 3 modes, deserves this spot because of its high value (RRP at RM 700), but managed to get this during sale for only RM400 plus!

# 8 :

MG 1/100 Zeta Plus C1 type, kit ni dah agak rare sebab Bandai belum buat rerun utk model ini. Jumpa kat kedai auntie dgn harga pra-inflasi, dan walaupun teknologi utk kit ini agak ketinggalan, tapi adequate utk jadikan model ni nampak garang. I sangat loike!

# 7 :

Manage utk dapatkan at half its current market value. No regrets!

# 6 :

Nah! SHF FAIZ! My favourite rider for the heisei era, both rider and human form! Released in the SHS format not so long ago, I have high confidence the Figuarts version is going to come out in 2010, and I was right! Now have to wait for his Autovajin to make him....COMPLETE!

# 5 :

Yamato 1/60 VF-0S Roy Focker Custom. Ever since I watched the anime back in 2005, I've been wanting this toy for as long as I care to remember. Financial problems, mold defects and pure badluck hindered me. SO when a re-issue was announced and released, I wasted no time to say the magic word...PO SECURED! This toy is so wonderful in sculpt and design, the only thing that holds it from being number 1 is the QC problem with the metal bar on the backplate, which has been assembled wrongly.

# 4 :

Bandai Robot Spirit VB-6 Konig Monster. A total retool from the earrlier Yamato effort, this toy can be said to hit it spot on! Metal parts for joints ensure tight fitting and strength where it matters most. And it's heavy to boot! Mine being the SP version, comes loaded with extras like the island base, Sheryl's Credit Card and few others.

# 3 :

Yamato 1/60 VF-0A Unknown, same quality as #5, but better QC this time.

# 2 :

Yamato 1/48 VF-1J Stealth Valk with Super & Strike Parts. What can I say? One of the rarest valks, second only two the low-vis, and equipped with the strike parts that matches it overall paint scheme! Been hunting all this while, when lo and behold, this was just across our southern border...Looks menacing in all 3 modes! Nuff said.

# 1:

Here it is folks! One of the best toy to come out from Yamato...Patlabor 1/24 AV-98 Ingram 1st! Meticulously packaged in vintage-style styrofoam box, exquisitely covered with silk cloth, comes loaded with accessories and gimmicks, crafted from high quality materials...and standing proud at 13 inches tall!!! Man, you just gotta hold it in ur hands to appreciate its beauty! Totally 'drool'able! Ooohh....look at the blinking lights....

There you have it! My top 10! Until next time!

SHF Kamen Rider Kiva- Emperor Form

Hi all guys and gals, fellow toylovers/toyhunters! I'm back again with another Figuarts Kamen Rider to review, and this time it's the Kiva Emperor Form.

First of all, I haven't got the chance to watch the show yet, even now, I'm catching up to KR W while still following Kamen Rider OOO (pronounced 'OZ'). But I do like the motif of the figure which is based on a, get this.....PUMPKIN!! Yeah, that's right folks, according to the show creator, the head was actually based on the Halloween Pumpkinhead. Well, enough about that, let's get on with the review.
PACKAGING
As usual, I'll start with the packaging the toy's in.

Firstly, the box is nicely colored to match the main colors of this figure. The bos is also thicker than usual, this is probably due to the Emperor armor as can be seen by the below picture:

ACCESSORIES

As can be seen, this figure is packaged together with 3 pairs of hand/fist, extra capes to extend the cape on Kiva's back, and of course the Zanvat Sword.

His belts already houses the Kivat and the Fuestles ( to summon his attack forms ).

DESIGN/SCULPT

As usual, I'm impressed with the level of details Bandai managed to squeeze into the 6" figure. The gold armor is adequately..err...gold...though I've read people rambling about it not being gold enough.

Also the details are excellently done in my opinion, as shown by the sample pics below:

Even the head sculpt is beautifully detailed, and I love the design of the compound eye which is the trademark of the Kamen Rider franchise. Am I right to say that Kiva has the largest eyes of all Kamen Riders? Also details on the Tatsulot (correct?). Also all paintjobs are superbly done without any paint overflowing.
ARTICULATION

For Figuarts, articulation can be say almost legendary. Various poses can be made, making this a fun toy to play and to take photographs. Though for this figure, I found out it's stability standing up is not as good as other figuarts. Then I realised, the foot is using ball joint at the ankles! Well, this might be because of the design of the leg and the leg armor.

Other than that, I have fun playing with this figure.
OVERALL
So, what's the score? Well, I gotta say, other than the excellent sculpt and paintjob, the looseness of the ankle annoys me. I'll give it a 3.5/5.
Till next review!

AFF Suzuki CUP 2010: Malaysia Menang?

Yes....itulah kenyataannya. Hero yg aku puja-puja rupanya....haih...

So bila berita tentang penyertaan Malaysia dalam AFF Suzuki Cup ni, aku macam...mehhh. Can't blame me, in fact many Malaysian pun rasa benda yg sama...kecewa bila kita beri harapan, dibalas dengan persembahan hambar.

Namun, last game Malaysia bertemu Indonesia di Bukit Jalil, well, yes kita menang 3-0...tapi bukan itu yg menarik perhatian aku, tapi corak permainan Malaysia! Young, energetic players under Coach Rajagobal show their maturity throughout the game! Corak serangan yg agak inventif membolosi barisan pertahanan Indonesia berkali-kali. Buat pertama kali, aku memuji permainan Malaysia.

Aku tak mau terlalu berharap, tapi yes, aku berperasaan positif....

Well, I was proven wrong for doubting Malaysia...and I'm glad...

Macross Fans Of Malaysia @ Comic Fiesta 2010

Salam semua.....lama dah nak post pasal event ni, tapi kesuntukan masa dan kemalasan melanda...hahahahah! Well, Comic Fiesta ni dah banyak tahun berlangsung, dan yours truly dah terlibat utk 2009 dan 2010. Tahun ni agak kelam kabut sebabnya Macross Fans Of Malaysia (MFOM) dipanggil agak last-minute, dan kawan aku, Yong, yg juga founder MFOM, terikat dgn tugas hakiki. So this time aku terpaksa lead.....saspen gak eh, kekeke!
Kalau nak tau apa tu Comic Fiesta, boleh refer post aku sebelum ni....

MEET THE CREW

These guys banyak tolong aku, baik dari segi tenaga, mahupun koleksi-koleksi utk diperagakan. Yg pakai baju spiderman tu reza, dia ni kalu ada, mesti buat lawak manjang.

Yg mamat kurus tu group lain, tapi share tapak dgn kami, friendly orangnya. Tshirt hitam tu James Wong, otai MFOM dan sebelah dia Idzwarudin, member forum gak dan kebetulan schoolmate aku masa f1-f5.

Yg duorang ni pon satu hal, heheehe....kiri tu Din dan kanan tu Hazim, mamat bloggers juga depa ni.

COSPLAYERS

Kenapa ye?

Apa-apa pun, aku mmg tunggu jer nak bergambo dgn depa ni! :P

Aku cam biasa la...tak lepas peluang...ngehngehngeh! Si reza pon mencelah gakkk...
p/s: Renny, dun worry, u still in my heart...hiarkk! =D

Dia ni pun sheryl nome, pon sgt teruja dgn exhibition MFOM. Kami pun teruja bergambar dgn dia...ahak!

Watak gadis rambut hijau kat atas ni agak sensasi sket....nama karekter dia Ranka Lee. Ingat lagi pasangan Alto dan Sheryl? Well, dlm citer yg sama, si Ranka ni pon jatuh cinta dgn Alto..kira cinta tiga segi la...masalahnya, watak dia tu macam masih budak lagi! Aduuuu...

Sapa dah tengok Tron? Ni diaaa...Daft Punk! Cool, baju diorang siap light up lagi!

Ni semua random pics yg diambil dgn event beauties. :P

PERHATIAN: Dia ni bukan event beauty...jantan ni, hahahahaha! Ada gamabr sebenar dia kat atas2 tu...cuba carik...

Cosplay watak dalam citer L, in character sungguh!

Kawan2 aku, regular dalam event2 camni. Respek dgn dedikasi diorang...armor tu buat sendiri tuh!

DISPLAY

Atas tu semua koleksi kami yg dipamerkan. Vintage mahal tuh kalau nak cari! Maaf, kali ni aku tak dapat nak ronda2 tgk display lain. Crowd control kali ni paling tak terurus, dah la aku mintak barricade utk halang orang sentuh display kami sampai sudah tak nampak!
Berapa kali tah aku terpaksa jadi bonzer....

Tengok la tu, crowd depan kami. Sesetengah tu dah la bawak beg besar bergantung-gantung, langsung tak peka dgn surroundings....main hayun suka hendak tok ayah dia jer! Lepas tu, yg nak ambik gambar tu ambik je la...yg gatal tangan nak usik sana sini tu kenapa? Sekali tumbang display, pucat! Aku cakap jer kat diorang...satu item atas meja ni worth at least RM 500, hati2 la sikit.

K, gotta go now..assalamualaikum!
